The cost of living is lower, than in Switzerland and public safety is good, furthermore real estate can be purchased - still – one of the cheapest prices in Europe. Nowadays, many Swiss people consider to buy property in a European country - namely in Hungary.

Buying real estate in Hungary could be cheap because many ancillary costs such as notary fees, electricity and taxes are relatively low.

When buying real estate in Hungary, you have to pay real estate levy, as in most countries. Since 01.01.2013, the total amount has 4% of the purchased price specified in the contract.
